Parser is looking for an experienced and strategically minded QA Director to lead QA transformation for a global enterprise-scale client. We are seeking someone detail-oriented, knowledgeable about modern QA best practices, and comfortable operating in a complex multi-divisional organisation. We’re looking for a candidate who can join our team as a subject-matter expert, driving not only quality improvements but also ways of working and cultural change. The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing QA strategies and leading large-scale test automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client-Focused QA Strategy: Design and roll out comprehensive QA strategies tailored to the client teams' specific needs and expectations, ensuring alignment with their goals and industry standards.
  • QA Culture & Coaching: Establish a modern QA culture, centred around QA coaching and a shift-left operating model.
  • Test Automation: Evaluate and implement automation strategy from scratch, assisting in optimising testing processes using advanced automation tools and frameworks.
  • People Change: Guide QA org design and career-path frameworks, working with existing leadership to implement any necessary changes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, commercial, product & operations) to support the integration of QA practices.
  • Quality Assurance Standards: Contribute to establishing and maintaining QA standards, to ensure consistent and repeatable delivery of high-quality products.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address quality assurance issues to mitigate risks before they impact project timelines or quality.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of reports on QA processes and outcomes for stakeholders and management.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to understand clients' requirements and develop customised QA strategies that meet their specific needs.
  • Strong experience in conducting due diligence to ensure compliance with best-practice quality standards.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JIRA, TestComplete, Cypress).
  • Experience with development delivery methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Expertise with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation purposes (web and mobile, Frontend and Backend).
  • Proficient in Java, Spring framework, MongoDB, Kafka, Kubernetes, Unity.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).

Experience:

  • Minimum of +6 years of experience in QA Leadership, with expertise in client assessment and strategy development.
  • Minimum of +8 years of experience in QA, with expertise in automation.
  • Experience working in a Product operating model with outcome-oriented cross-functional product engineering teams.
  • Experience working with Direct To Consumer (D2C) mass market products and services.
  • Experience in developing and implementing QA strategies and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JIRA, TestComplete).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for team and client management.

Location: Central London (2-3 times a week in the office)
