As a Cyber Delivery Assurance Lead , you will champion “security-by-design” across every BA product release. You will provide independent assurance to the Head of Cyber & IT Risk that delivery teams align with the airline’s risk appetite. This role plays a critical part in driving cyber security practices and ensuring the organization meets its security goals.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Drive the cyber assurance and security architecture within regulated, multi-product, Agile/DevOps environments.
- Perform hands-on threat and risk assessments across cloud, network, and infrastructure stacks; specify mitigating controls where needed.
- Align security practices with NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIS, and NCSC guidance.
- Influence senior delivery colleagues and third-party partners, driving security decisions without direct authority.
- Implement security-by-design frameworks at the portfolio scale and support organizational change.
- Provide independent assurance on the delivery team’s adherence to security requirements and risk appetite.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8-10+ years of experience driving cyber assurance or security architecture.
- Extensive experience in regulated, multi-product environments, with a focus on Agile/DevOps.
- Expertise in threat and risk assessments across cloud, network, and infrastructure stacks.
- Strong working knowledge of NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIS, and NCSC guidance.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or SANS GIAC (or equivalent).
- Proven track record of influencing senior colleagues and third-party partners without direct authority.
- Experience introducing security-by-design frameworks at a portfolio level.
- Excellent communicator who can align diverse stakeholders behind a common cyber vision.
- Pragmatic approach, balancing compliance with delivery velocity.
- Thrives under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
- Takes ownership and has a bias for action.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience within aviation, transport, or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Specialist knowledge in at least one area: cloud security, security architecture, or infrastructure security.
Location:
- Office located in Hayes-West London
- UK-Based Candidates: Hybrid work model with an expected office presence of 2–3 days per week (approximately 20–25%), depending on client requirements.
- EU-Based Contributors: Remote model, with travel to the UK twice per month onsite client
