Why Join Us? If you are looking for a place where you can think beyond execution, take true ownership of outcomes, influence decisions, and continuously learn alongside top-tier specialists in a truly global environment, we’d love to meet you.
How will you impact? As a Solutions Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the technical architecture behind an AI-driven investment platform, spanning applications, data, AI, integrations, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on architecture role, combining strategic technical direction with practical engineering. Working closely with engineering teams, you’ll take complex and ambiguous challenges from architecture through to production, writing production-quality code, building prototypes and reference implementations, reviewing designs, and solving complex technical problems.
The role will shape target-state architecture, reusable patterns, and technical standards across the platform, with a particular focus on production-grade AI and RAG systems, data architecture, integrations, security, and Azure cloud infrastructure. Success will require strong architectural judgement and hands-on engineering expertise to create solutions that are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and built for production.
Your key responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end architecture and implementation across AI, data, and application initiatives, from current-state assessment and target-state design through to production delivery.
- Stay hands-on with engineering, building prototypes and production-quality solutions in Python and TypeScript, reviewing code, and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Design production-grade AI architectures across LLM/RAG, retrieval, agentic workflows, evaluation, guardrails, tool calling, observability, and cost/latency optimisation.
- Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical standards across applications, data, integrations, security, and cloud infrastructure.
- Translate requirements from investment, portfolio, risk, finance, and corporate teams into scalable technical solutions, leading build-vs-buy assessments and technology evaluations where required.
- Own integration architecture and non-functional requirements, including security, entitlements, resilience, scalability, performance, data residency, auditability, and regulatory alignment.
- Work closely with engineers and senior stakeholders to drive technical decisions, document architectural standards, and mentor engineering teams, raising architectural and engineering standards across the wider technology group.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Essential Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, with substantial recent hands-on development experience and a track record of personally delivering production systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise across Python, SQL, backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure, with the ability to take solutions from design through code, deployment, and production.
- Proven experience designing and building production AI/LLM architectures, including RAG, retrieval, agentic workflows, evaluation, guardrails, and AI integrations.
- Extensive cloud architecture experience, ideally Azure, spanning networking, identity, security, infrastructure, deployment, and cost optimisation.
- Deep data and integration architecture expertise, including data modelling, lakehouse/warehouse architectures, data quality, governance, and complex system integrations.
- Proven knowledge of security, compliance, and non-functional architecture within regulated or data-sensitive environments, combined with the ability to influence engineers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience within asset management, sovereign wealth, private equity/credit, banking, fintech, or capital markets, with an understanding of investment workflows and data.
- Experience integrating financial data providers (Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, PitchBook, Preqin, MSCI), large-scale document processing, and/or enterprise streaming and data platforms.
- Experience establishing architecture standards or design authority, relevant cloud/architecture certifications, and/or experience working with distributed international teams.
- Industry-recognised architecture or cloud credentials, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or TOGAF.
Location & Work Model: London UK: Hybrid model, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office in Covent Garden.
You will receive:

- The opportunity to be part of an amazing, multicultural community of tech experts.
- A highly competitive compensation package.
- A flexible and hybrid working environment.
