Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to support a major airline integration and platform transformation.
This role will sit at the centre of a complex ecosystem spanning airline integrations, customer-facing digital products, loyalty platforms, and third-party services. The successful candidate will help drive clarity, and alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders while supporting delivery of a rapidly evolving transformation roadmap.
This is a hands‑on Product Owner role suited to someone who is highly organised, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and experienced working closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams on large‑scale platform change.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog across integration and platform workstreams.
- Work closely with architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders to shape requirements into deliverable outcomes.
- Define and prioritise user stories, functional requirements, and delivery objectives.
- Drive clarity across complex integration initiatives involving multiple airline and third-party systems.
- Support product discovery, solution discussions, and roadmap planning activities.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align business, product, and technical teams.
- Help identify dependencies, risks, impacts, and potential breaking changes across consuming platforms.
- Ensure teams have clear priorities, acceptance criteria, and sufficient context to deliver effectively.
- Act as a key coordination point between technical teams, product stakeholders, and operational areas.
- Maintain visibility of decisions, assumptions, and delivery progress across the programme.
- Support delivery planning, sequencing, and release coordination across multiple workstreams.
- Help create alignment between long‑term platform strategy and short‑term delivery needs.
- Contribute to improving product ways of working, documentation standards, and delivery governance.
Experience required
- Experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or hybrid Product/Delivery lead in complex technology environments.
- Experience in travel, airline, loyalty, or customer-facing digital platforms.
- Strong experience working closely with engineering and architecture teams on platform or integration‑heavy programmes.
- Excellent backlog management and requirements definition skills using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where requirements and solutions evolve over time.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience coordinating dependencies, priorities, and impacts across multiple teams and systems.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear product direction and delivery outcomes.
- Structured, delivery-focused, and capable of driving momentum in fast‑moving
Nice to have
- Experience with API/integration-heavy programmes.
- Experience supporting architecture or platform modernization work.
- Previous experience in enterprise-scale environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
