As a DevOps Engineer, you will focus on deploying, maintaining, and scaling industrialised products in cloud environments. You will bring deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, networking, and container orchestration to ensure robust, secure, and efficient solutions that align with evolving business needs. This role requires strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and services to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Automation & IaC: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and automate workflows to improve deployment efficiency and performance optimisation.
- Container Orchestration & CI/CD: Manage container orchestration platforms such as ECS alongside CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
- Networking Optimisation: Configure and optimise networking services, including VPCs, security groups, and routing protocols.
- Data & Scripting: Write and optimise structured queries using SQL and develop scripts with Python to improve system performance.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure systems comply with cyber standards and regulations for data security and privacy.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions, and document infrastructure processes to ensure maintainability.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience deploying and maintaining solutions in cloud environments, with strong experience in AWS.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like ECS and experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Deep understanding of networking configuration (VPCs, subnets, security groups, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting and querying with Python, alongside strong version control experience with Git.
- Ability to translate product requirements into actionable technical solutions while demonstrating independent ownership and proactive problem-solving.
Desirable Requirements
- AWS certification is a plus.
- Nice to have experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
