We are seeking a talented Motion Control / Mechatronics external sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our customers in designing, implementing, and optimising motion control systems based on Siemens technology. This role will require expertise in motion control principles, Siemens hardware, and programming to develop customised solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team and our customers to understand their motion control requirements and develop tailored solutions based on Siemens technology.
- Design and configure motion control systems using Siemens SIMATIC and SINAMICS platforms to achieve precise control of motors and actuators.
- Assist customers in learning to use Siemens motion control technology within TIA Portal to ensure seamless integration and operation within the overall automation system.
- Help customers to integrate motion control systems with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces) for comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities.
- Provide first line technical support for customers remotely and on-site as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Siemens motion control technology, emerging trends, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- NVQ/HND/HNC/Degree level in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in designing, programming, and implementing motion control systems ideally with Siemens technology or equivalent.
- Candidates should have good in depth knowledge of motion control design for precise motion control applications.
- Knowledge of servo and stepper motor control principles, drive technology, and motor sizing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex motion control issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
