Role overview:
Reporting to the Head of Product Operations, the Platform Product Manager will be part of a team responsible for the management of our product portfolio and the outcomes they deliver. This includes the products and services we manufacture, third party products we distribute and product relationship with partners who distribute our products.
You will be responsible for the management of and the outcomes delivered by our on sale platform products and services, to ensure they continue to deliver growth, value and great customer outcomes.
This is a collaborative hands-on role that requires a deep understanding product management techniques, platform and discretionary management products, the financial services industry, product regulation, product legislation, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders.
You will contribute to the development our product reporting and governance functions to ensure we provide actionable insights and reporting to all areas of our business, chosen partners and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Product Management:
- Responsible for a range of Parmenion products & services
- Monitor and analyse product data, insights and customer feedback to assess product performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement & risks.
- Ownership of competitor product research to inform specific developments, prioritisation and identify enhancement opportunities
- Work as Product SME alongside Product Owners and scrum teams to support the delivery prioritised Product change
- Contribute to business readiness and take to market activities
- Maintain a broad knowledge of platform products to inform the product agenda.
- Support relationships with external stakeholders including, industry associations, regulatory bodies, and key customers bodies, to stay updated on product matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product technical, legal, compliance, marketing.
- Support the Head of Product Operations in delivering Product initiatives.
Product Operations:
- Support the definition and development of internal data sources and customer insight needed to monitor and understand all aspects of product usage, outcomes and commercial KPIs
- Collate, analyse and report on this information to inform all areas of product management and governance
- Collaborate with the Product Technical & compliance teams to ensure the products are operating in line with regulatory & legislative standards.
- Collaborate with the Operations function to build strong relationships with core operational teams to inform the delivery good Product outcomes
- Provision of third tier support to sales, customers and operations across the product range.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, product technical and customer service teams, to drive customer satisfaction, and growth.
Product Governance:
- Responsible product governance including the monitoring and reporting of customer outcomes, product performance and risks to appropriate committees and forums
- Responsible for ensuring the Product Management elements of the Product Framework are adhered to
- Monitor target market, customer outcome and customer value metrics, making appropriate recommendations where required to drive improvement and address risks
- Responsible for ensuring product outputs & literature including terms and conditions, disclosures, contracts & promotional materials are technically accurate and up to date
- Act as Product SME on Committees and Forums as required
- Represent Product Operations on Small Change, Defect and other working groups as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Relevant experience in product management, preferably in the financial services industry, with a focus on platforms and discretionary management products.
- Strong knowledge of the industry, including regulations, legislation, product trends, and customer needs.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of products
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A relevant degree in business, finance, marketing or product development is a plus.
