Position: Client Migration Manager

Role overview:

Lead and manage complex client migration projects. This role will involve overseeing the transfer of client accounts, data and services from one platform or system to Parmenion, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and advisers while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders both remotely and in person, ensuring timely, secure and effective migrations in line with business objectives.

Duties include:

  • Project Management: Lead the end-to-end Platform Switch Service, from initial data analysis to final completion of transfers, ensuring completion on agreed timeframes and to the highest quality.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with key stakeholders (internal teams, ceding providers, advisers and third-party vendors) to define project requirements, manage expectations and ensure smooth communication throughout the Platform Switch Service journey.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments and contingency planning. Utilising Parmenion’s templated literature to ensure consistency of approach across all Platform Switch Service campaigns.
  • Data Migration and Integrity: Analyse data and oversee the accurate transfers of client wrappers from a ceding provider to Parmenion, ensuring data security, integrity and privacy, in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the Platform Switch campaign then process and implement mitigation strategies to minimise disruption and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Manage system testing and validation to ensure successful Platform Switch campaigns, working with IT and other teams to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Change Management: Lead change management activities to ensure internal teams and clients are well-prepared for migration impacts, including developing training programs and documentation.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders, including Parmenion’s senior management team, highlighting progress, risks and improvement recommendations to the service.
  • Cross Functional Support: When required, assist other areas of the wider team with any bespoke tasks.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proven experience as a client facing professional within financial services.
  • Excellent understanding of the Retail Financial Services market and related activities, particularly Adviser market landscape and competitor understanding.
  • Project management experience within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to Platform Switch Service campaigns.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, especially in-specie transfers.
  • Understanding of data migration, validation and testing methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and collaborate across both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience in data analysis and data manipulation.
