We are recruiting for a Demand Planner to join a well-established, multi-channel retail business based in Brighton, Sussex. This is a high-impact Demand Planner role with a strong analytical focus, supporting retail stores, e-commerce, and third-party concession sales across the UK and international markets. This position suits a Demand Planner, Forecasting Analyst, or Commercial Analyst who enjoys working with large retail data sets and turning sales data into commercial insight. While forecasting remains part of the role, new systems are being implemented to automate elements of forecasting, making strong analytical capability essential.
The Role in a Nutshell
As a Demand Planner, you will analyse retail, e-commerce and third-party sales data, supporting decision making across supply chain, commercial, finance and marketing teams. You will play a key role in improving forecast accuracy, supporting S&OP, and driving insight across an omni-channel retail environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Demand Planner or Analyst with 2 plus years’ experience in retail, beauty, FMCG, fashion or wellness to step into a commercially visible role within a growing retailer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead demand planning and sales analysis across retail stores, e-commerce and concession channels
- Analyse historical sales data, trends, promotions and seasonality to support demand planning
- Support S&OP processes by preparing demand plans, risks and opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Product teams
- Monitor post-launch performance of new product launches and gifting ranges
- Track forecast accuracy and continuously improve demand planning processes
- Provide clear, data-driven insight to senior stakeholders
- Support international sales analysis, including US and third-party marketplace channels
Skills and Experience
- Experience as a Demand Planner, Forecasting Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst or Commercial Analyst
- 2–5 years’ experience within retail, beauty, FMCG, fashion or wellness sectors
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
- Power BI or similar reporting tools highly desirable
- Experience working with omni-channel retail data
- Understanding of demand planning, forecasting and S&OP processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven retail environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
