Sales and Marketing Manager | Hazlitt Theatre

Permanent, full time 40 hrs a week.

Salary £29,785

Responsible for the marketing and promotion of the Hazlitt Theatre, the creative programme and audience development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering fully integrated marketing and press campaigns in line with the overall vision of The Hazlitt Theatre and its communications objectives.
  • Devising and implementing research and analysis activity, including show specific pieces of research and longer-term in depth projects in line with Hazlitt Theatre marketing objectives.
  • Develop the venue’s usage of Social Media outlets in order for the theatre to become a more effective communicator with its customers, to promote productions and events and increase ticket sales at the box office.
  • Assisting in the development of The Hazlitt Theatre digital strategy and to advise on new developments and opportunities for the use of new digital technologies
  • Maximising positive media coverage for The Hazlitt Theatre relating to the shows and events provided
  • Monitoring outcomes and delivering projects within budget and to tight deadlines
  • Work closely with the Director - Programme and Productions and the Theatre’s Operation Manager to seek opportunities to develop and create new audiences and customers for the Hazlitt Theatre.
  • Collection, creation and development of all seasonal brochures.
  • Lead on certain events the venue hosts in a calendar year. (In house productions & VIP nights).
  • Maintain effective communications with external agencies, suppliers, media, production companies, performance artists and customers, acting with courtesy and professionalism at all times.
  • Work with promoters and producers on the development of marketing plans and sales for incoming shows.
  • Built relationships with upcoming artists and promoters and assist with creating sales opportunities through paid for support.
  • Working in a similar role
