Hours of Work: 37 Hours per week, all year round
Monday – Friday 6.30am– 10:30am & 2.30pm - 6.00pm

As an Apprentice Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Working as part of the site team, you will assist with a range of duties, including general maintenance, security checks, health and safety tasks, and ensuring the school premises are well-presented and operational at all times. Based at Keighley Hub School; Denholme, Eastwood, Holycroft, Parkwood and Victoria, able to drive or willing to travel between each school.

This role would suit individuals who are practical, reliable, and keen to develop a career in site management and facilities maintenance.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with opening, closing and securing the school site.
• Carrying out site security and safety checks.
• Helping to keep the school grounds clean, safe and free from litter.
• Undertaking basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Moving furniture and equipment as required.
• Receiving deliveries and supporting contractors on site.
• Assisting with cleaning and waste collection duties.
• Reporting faults, hazards and health and safety concerns.
• Responding to emergencies and supporting the wider site team as required.
• Completing apprenticeship training and applying learning within the role.
