About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in complex construction and refurbishment?
Parkwood Leisure is seeking a dedicated Capital Project Manager to join our team in Droitwich.
In this dynamic role, you will oversee fast paced leisure construction, refurbishment, and fit out projects across our diverse nationwide portfolio, including leisure centres, sports complexes, theatres, and golf courses.
You will take full ownership of end to end project delivery, ensuring our leisure facilities meet high brand standards.
A central focus of the role is navigating complex live environment logistics, maintaining strict aesthetic requirements, and meeting aggressive project timelines all while ensuring zero disruption to ongoing facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end to end execution of capital projects, maintaining detailed master schedules and formulating phasing plans to minimise operational disruption in live environments.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal operational teams, and third party consultants, including architects and engineers.
- Govern project P&L, monitor capital spend, manage commercial risks, and oversee procurement, including long lead time equipment and FF&E Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment.
- Maintain rigorous zero defect quality control and ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Act, CDM regulations, and health and safety standards.
- We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled project leader who brings
- 5 to 7 years experience as a construction Project Manager with a strong background in complex, live-environment refurbishments such as pool plant systems and wet side changing rooms.
- Background in leisure specific MEP installations, including pool plant systems and HVAC infrastructure.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred. Relevant professional certifications or chartered status CIOB, RICS are highly desirable.
- Recognised safety credentials IOSH, NEBOSH, or SMSTS are highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in fast track project delivery, commercial negotiation, and resolving complex design and site conflicts under tight deadlines.
