Recreational Assistant / Lifeguard – Parkwood Leisure

Location: Torbay Leisure Centre

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests using the Leisure Centre.
• Manage all aspects of the daily activities of the Centre.
• Guide, care for and assist all Leisure Centre customers.
• Facilitate a friendly but efficient working relationship with users.
• Work as part of a team to achieve the objectives and usage targets of the Centre.
• Innovate ideas and initiate action to increase Centre usage.
• Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort across all facilities.
• Assist the Duty Manager in effective control and security of the facility, including patrolling and ensuring equipment is stored safely.
• Identify Health & Safety issues, implement and assess procedures, and flag unsafe practices.
• Secure the Centre\’s premises when not in use.
• Perform duties of other staff members as required.
• Portray a positive image of the Centre by wearing the provided uniform.

Qualifications

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, current and valid.

DBS

Recreation Assistant positions may be classified as a regulated post and therefore may require a DBS Disclosure. Applicants without a DBS Disclosure must undergo a DBS check.
