Duty Manager – Breckland Leisure Centre & Waterworld, Thetford, Norfolk

Full Time (40 hours per week)

The Duty Manager role is a key position that delivers continuous customer and staff relations services. It offers a rewarding experience and serves as a springboard to a career in leisure management within one of the most attractive and fast‑growing leisure companies.

Primary Objectives

• Ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety and customer care within the Centre.
• Develop and promote an exciting, innovative leisure programme to increase usage and profitability.
• Assume shift management responsibility to maximise performance and maintain the highest standards of customer care.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees.
• Communicate effectively at all organisational levels, listening and directing.
• Work additional hours when required to meet role demands.
• Demonstrate clear identification with all customer requirements.
• Maintain excellent employee relations and deliver quality training.
• Perform recreation assistant duties when required.
• A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is desirable but not essential; funding for the course is available.
• Ideally hold a Pool Plant Operators qualification and a recognised Leisure Management qualification.
