Project Coordinator Salary £28,000 to £30,000 per annum , indicative, depending on experience Department Central Services, Commercial Team Reports to Head of Projects Hybrid after qualifying period Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of capital investment and improvement projects across our portfolio of leisure centres.
Working within the Central Services Commercial team, you will play a key role in supporting the Project Management function, helping to coordinate multiple projects that drive business and operational improvements.
You will work closely with the Junior Project Manager, Regional Directors, and Centre Managers to ensure projects are well planned, effectively communicated, and delivered smoothly within live operational environments.
Key Responsibilities Provide day to day coordination and administrative support to the Project Management team.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of capital investment and improvement projects across multiple sites.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholder to coordinate works and ensure clear communication.
Maintain project documentation, trackers and reporting tools to ensure accurate and up to date records.
Support procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and tracking spend.
Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays or risks to the project managers.
Assist with health and safety documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met.
Coordinate site access, works scheduling, and communication with leisure centre teams to minimise operational disruption.
Support the Head Of Projects and wider team with reporting and project updates.
Key Skills & Experience Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or project support role construction, facilities or similar environment desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
IT Literate, with confidence using Microsoft Office and openness to cloud based, integrated management systems such as Google Drive.
A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
