Maintenance Manager – Merthyr Tydfil (Merthyr Tudful) Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer Salary; £25 – £31,000 (Range dependent on qualifications – for the top end of this bracket we will be looking for a trade qualification like electrician.) We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic individual who loves working with their hands and making a difference. If you enjoy a variety of maintenance tasks such as gardening, general household repairs, decorating and small construction projects, this is the role for you! Located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer is a multi activity centre that aims to deliver fun, educational and high quality services to our customers. We pride ourselves on our exemplary health and safety record, commitment to staff, commitment to customers and quality of our services. Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer facilities and services provide a diverse range of activities to suit most ages and has 4 different types of 3 and 4 star built accommodation to sleep up to 100 people, camping pitches and glamping facilities. There is also a classroom, reception area with small cafe and 14.5 acres of land nestled in the National Park. Are you a manager who is flexible and can keep our site looking its best. The ideal candidate will have excellent DIY skills with a keen eye for health and safety. JOB DESCRIPTION Primary objectives for the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for: Organisation and management of statutory compliance, service contracts and response maintenance Daily effective running of the general maintenance and repair of all facilities on site Fault diagnosis, reporting and correction of equipment, plant and machinery Oversight and management of all contractors on site carrying out any repair/maintenance work including checking works and outcomes completed And assist with ordering and keep up of stock levels Managing and overseeing energy efficiency initiatives and programmes. General assistance working under them. The Maintenance Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks: To coordinate all aspects of Health and Safety and Fire Safety within the Contract. To manage the Centre\’s quality assurance systems and procedures. To undertake any regulatory requirements. To manage the the facilities planned maintenance. To play a key role in maintaining the operation of the buildings and equipment, in particular with regards to making the site presentable for the customer. To liaise daily with managers to ensure any technical issues are overcome as a priority. To take the lead role in maintaining the operation of the buildings and equipment. Manage and oversee maintenance contractors on site To undertake any other duties as may be required by the General Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved. Assist the Centre Manager in ensuring Value for Money is gained on contractor appointments by creating a strong network of contractors Assist with on-call duties for the centre. THE CANDIDATE Qualifications The post holder will preferably hold an up to date electrical qualification, City + Guilds 2381 – 01 or equivalent qualification and have good experience of or working knowledge of general plant in accommodation.
