Are you a passionate leader ready to elevate the guest experience at a prestigious events venue? We are looking for a dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to oversee our vibrant operations from the Pavilion Tearooms to our lakeside kiosk.
Pavilion Gardens is an historical visitor attraction venue, as Food & Beverage Manager you will be responsible for the following areas:
- Tea Rooms
- Pavilion Kitchen
- Ice Cream Parlour
- Coffee Van
- Kiosk
- Various Bars and pop up outlets
Primary Objectives for the Food & Beverage Manager Position will be:
- To supervise the day to day operations of all food and beverage outlets in order to maximise profitability in line with the company business plan.
- To maximise the secondary spend opportunities where possible, maximising the potential of each outlet with good visual merchandising and sufficient stock to retail at the relevant outlet open at that time.
- To ensure the highest possible standards of Health & Safety and legislative compliance.
- To coordinate and oversee each outlet and provide appropriate supervisory & direction, support, guidance and motivation and empower staff to ensure exemplary levels of customer care are delivered consistently at all times.
- As part of the Site Management leadership team, the successful candidate will be embedded into the operational and Duty Manager rotas, as and when required, to ensure a consistent/seamless service.
- Deliver a programme of ongoing staff training and development to facilitate career progression and succession planning within the department, through the use of PDPs and individualised programmes.
- Work with external Companies and third party operators, to develop a programme of onsite corporate F&B formal dining events.
- Compile a customer service programme to be rolled out to all F&B teams, focusing on embedding upsell techniques, guidance on generating incremental revenue and improved visitor engagement and experience.
- Work towards the 'Onsite Competent Person' Corporate qualification, with the associated responsibility for all site Health & Safety.
The Food & Beverage Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks:
- Ensure through the seasonality of the year there is a planned approach and appropriate number of outlets pop ups available to stimulate interest, demand and maximise all revenue.
- Structured weekly review of day to day operations and the performance of outlets take away pop ups with staff.
- To ensure all Health & Safety Food Hygiene HACCAP procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.
- Ensure an exemplary level of service is delivered to all customers at every interaction with a positive offer of upsell at every opportunity.
- Ensure pop ups are staffed in a cost effective manner along with careful control of stock via stock control system in relation to takeaways.
- To ensure all outlets consistently deliver an efficient and effective catering service at all times taking into account seasonality and the requirements of each customer.
- To assist the Contract Manager in providing appropriate staff training, for staff working within individual take away outlets.
- Along with enforcing completion of relevant training for all staff so that it is current during their active employment.
- Ensure that the current company financial regulations are adhered to including PDQ transactions, cash, ordering, shift reconciliations and invoice processing at all times.
- Ensure staff understand, observe and implement matters relating to licensing laws & ensure all catering outlets pop ups and take away areas receive regular cleaning duties as required, along with all areas meeting appropriate statutory compliance at all times.
- To undertake any regulatory requirements for all relevant pops ups in terms of planned maintenance.
- Along with the responsibility for the Supervision of catering staff.
- To assist when necessary with any other outlets if demand and business needs require support.
- Cover HODS shifts for sickness and annual leave when required.
- Where applicable a DBS may be required.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required by the Contract Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.
