We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Reconciliation Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office in Droitwich. This is a key role within the company, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal processes for our nationwide operations. The primary objectives of the Reconciliation Assistant position will be
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and the resolution of reconciling items on a timely basis.
- Allocated reconciliations may include, Payroll control accounts, net pay, PAYE, NI, Pensions
- Centre debtor accounts receivable invoicing, reconciliations
- Bad Debt provisions
- Various till system related control accounts
- Third party income reconciliations
- Checking and processing of theatre production settlements
- Ensuring sufficient checks are implemented to ensure balance sheet information provided is accurate and reliable.
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns for four different companies,
- Weekly running of income and expenditure reports
- Reconciliation of the reports to the general ledger
- Detailed analysis of reports for partial VAT accruals
- Flagging invoice, reconciliation anomalies the Reconciliation Accountant
- Ongoing monitoring of internal processes, recommending improvements as appropriate.
- In addition to this, the post holder will be expected to carry out any reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with the post in order to assist the company in its activities when necessary.
You are studying towards AAT or are qualified by experience. - Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, are essential.
- You possess a meticulous and organised approach, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- A proactive, hands on, and commercial attitude.
