Job Description: The Website Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining Parkwood Leisure's portfolio of websites, which includes a headless CMS and WordPress instances. This role ensures the websites are functional, up-to-date, and aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring industry security standards are maintained, and implementing improvements to enhance user experience and website performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Maintenance: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the website functions correctly and securely. Ensure all Application Programming Interface (API) integrations are working as intended and connected to the web platforms. Maintain all WordPress plugins and security aspects. Ensure payment gateways are maintained.
- Performance Optimisation: Monitor website performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Console, and Semrush. Ensure robust website integrations and optimised API connections.
- Security: Protect the website from security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing appropriate security measures. Maintain and update all plug-ins.
- Website Design and Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the website meets business demands in functionality and design. Work with third-party developers to enhance functionality and customer experience. Use data-driven decisions to enhance the website.
- SEO and Analytics: Work with an SEO agency to develop best practices and identify areas for improvement to enhance website visibility. Use analytics to inform stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Work with third-party developers to keep projects on track and on budget. Deliver CMS and WordPress training to site teams as required. Communicate with stakeholders regarding website changes, projects, developments, and day-to-day issues. Travel to in-person supplier meetings and sites across the UK will be required.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes and configurations on the website platform.
- User Experience (UX): Ensure the websites are user-friendly and easy to navigate, with simple and evolving customer journeys.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with multiple systems in complex organisations, integrated through APIs.
- Experience managing WordPress sites and working with CMS platforms such as Magnolia.
- Good knowledge of industry trends, UX, Google Analytics 4, Google Console, and SEO tools such as Semrush.
- Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management skills using agile methodologies, with the ability to work to deadlines.
