The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a similar role:
- A minimum level 2 qualification in land‑based service engineering or similar, or have completed a thorough apprenticeship in agriculture or horticulture machinery mechanics.
- A full driving licence is essential, preferably with trailer qualifications.
The Opportunity:
Covering the full range of machinery from tractors, gang mowers, chippers, trailers to pedestrian mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and chainsaws, the successful candidate will proactively manage the service and repairs of our assets directly and through 3rd‑party providers to ensure a cost‑effective maintenance programme. Working with operational supervisors, the fitter will ensure that all routine maintenance is planned to meet the demands of the service and assets while reacting to unplanned maintenance requirements to meet the needs of our contracts. Servicing, repairs, specifying parts and planning will be a pivotal part of the role, in line with managing the company asset register.
