Glendale Managed Services, the 'green services' division of Alston Investments Ltd, has revenues of circa £50 million and operates throughout the UK. Glendale's activities include grounds management, arboriculture, landscaping, estate management, vegetation control, woodland management, supply and relocation of plants and semi-mature trees, winter services, and the management of sports facilities.
Business Support plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily business operations by managing tasks such as liaising with operational teams, key account management, maintaining accurate financial and commercial records, data entry, report generation, and managing a team of administrators.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Excel/Google Sheets, e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and providing administrative support to the Divisional Director, the Head of Key Accounts, and the Head of Operations.
- Managing the reporting of revenue streams.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure operational management IT systems are maintained and updated.
- Streamlining daily business operations to ensure efficient execution of administrative tasks.
- Supporting project management, coordinating, and implementing business initiatives.
- Overseeing all reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Serving as a central communication point between departments, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Developing and maintaining regular reports on business activities to aid strategy and planning.
- Collating performance monitoring statistics (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensuring timely updates from managers.
- Managing a team of 2 administrators.
