At Glendale, we have a great new opportunity for a talented, motivated and experienced writer to join our Business Development team, contributing to the consolidation of our market-leading position in the Grounds Maintenance industry as well as driving profitability through the sustainable growth of our business. Glendale is one of the largest green space management service providers in the UK and specialises in tree care and management, grounds maintenance and landscaping. We have been at the forefront of green services provision since 1989 and offer innovative solutions for the management and maintenance of the green environment.
Our new Bid Writer will be a self-motivated creative writer and have a positive, winning mentality. You will have critical attention to detail, an excellent eye for presentation and design, and the ability to write articulately with flair. Strong organisational and time-management skills are a must in our fast-paced environment. Some understanding of commercial contractual arrangements and the ability to understand the financial elements of our bids are desirable qualities.
Bid Writing is a dynamic, fast-paced role in the Business Development department. Our Bid Writers are responsible for the growth and sustained success of our business. The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly develop strong relationships with all other central and operational business functions in order to effectively leverage their expertise when writing bids.
You will enjoy writing creatively, capturing bid-specific details through research of prospective clients in order to produce compelling written bids with a competitive edge. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of planning, coordinating and writing bids for large-scale green spaces contracts in both the public and private sectors. You will report to the Head of Business Development and the successful candidate will be part of a profitable and growing nationwide business.
