Longlands Primary School is a forward-thinking and successful one-and-a-half-form-entry school in Sidcup.

At the heart of our school is a strong sense of community, where relationships matter and every child is encouraged to achieve, grow in confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are committed to creating an environment where both children and staff can thrive.

Our school rules are: Be Ready. Be Respectful. Be Safe.

Our pupils enjoy coming to school, behave well and demonstrate positive attitudes towards their learning.

We are looking for an approachable and confident individual to join our team and support pupils during their lunchtime meal break.

The successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting our Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) provision.

OPAL is an innovative approach to play that aims to provide children with rich, varied and engaging opportunities to play, explore and develop their independence.

This is a crucial role in the life of our school.

We are seeking someone who understands the importance of positive relationships and can manage pupils in a calm, consistent and positive manner.

You will help create an environment where children feel safe, secure and valued, while also promoting and maintaining the high standards of behaviour expected across our school.

The successful candidate will be

  • Able to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Calm, patient and consistent when managing behaviour.
  • Committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all pupils.
  • Supportive of our school values and high expectations.
  • Enthusiastic about outdoor learning and play, and willing to contribute to our OPAL provision.

If you are passionate about helping children enjoy their time at school and would like to make a positive contribution to our vibrant school community, we would love to hear from you.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
