Location: Facilities
Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 2:00 pm - 12:30 am (four 10-hour days M-Th)
Starting Pay: $22.18/Hour (and up depending on experience)

Essential Job Functions: Under the general direction of the Lead Painter, this position is responsible for performing duties related to interior and exterior painting throughout the districts' 33 buildings and grounds areas.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Demonstrated excellent job performance and attendance
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in commercial painting or carpentry field or related experience
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work overtime if needed
  • Must possess or be able to obtain minimum Missouri Class E driver's license or equivalent with an excellent driving record
  • Proficient in using all hand tools, power tools, carpentry/woodworking, and painting equipment
  • Must possess excellent technical skills and expertise in additional specialty areas such as paint application with a brush, roller, and airless/HPLV sprayer, patching walls, ceilings, doors and taping new drywall
  • Able to work at heights greater than 20 feet and on rooftops; able to lift 70 pounds on a routine basis
  • Computer literate and familiar with word processing, spreadsheets (prefer Microsoft Word, Excel, FMX)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse workforce
  • Mobility to move in and around buildings
  • Must be able to understand and communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, for all job-related duties and response to safety emergencies
  • Able to pass a thorough background investigation and physical
