Supporting clients with workforce, payroll and contractor solutions, the business operates within a compliance‑led environment.
They are now looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to lead and shape the legal and compliance function. This is a genuinely broad and commercially involved role which would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, improving processes and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
The position will involve:
- Leadership and oversight of the legal/compliance function
- Managing and developing an existing team
- Commercial contracts and wider contractual risk management
- Advising on regulatory, compliance and governance matters
- Supporting operational best practice and process improvement
- Managing external counsel where required
- Acting as a senior sounding board to the leadership team
The role would suit someone with:
- Ideally at least 4+ years of PQE
- Previous in‑house experience preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
- A person comfortable operating in an office‑based environment
This role would suit someone seeking a high‑quality part‑time opportunity with genuine autonomy and the ability to shape and influence a function over time. There is huge potential for the role to evolve as the business continues to grow.
