The company Parkway is a leading British furniture manufacturer, with over 15 years specialising in ultra-luxury bespoke furniture for superyachts and high-end residential projects worldwide. Based in Hampshire, our extensive manufacturing facilities operate across three sites, including a new 30,000sq foot centre of excellence, combining exquisite cabinetry, bespoke upholstery, and unique custom finishes. Our highly skilled craftspeople, artisans and technical designers have the pleasure of working with leading international interior designers on award-winning and iconic projects, producing the highest calibre of unique furniture, from luxury upholstered products to high-end cabinetry and bespoke interiors.
The Role This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This position involves the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety policies and procedures to minimise risks and promote a culture of safety within the organisation. The role will work closely with various departments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Produce Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Method Statements.
- Arrange and provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
- Monitor compliance with legislation and company standards.
- Investigate incidents and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with management to create a comprehensive safety plan that aligns with the companyβs goals.
- Maintain knowledge of health and safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
Skills & Experience required:
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety required.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstration of professional competence and development.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation and ACOPS.
- Be passionate about safety with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
- Ability to positively influence others.
- Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel).
- Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm to learn new skills.
- Flexible and ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Excellent computer and administration skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
