Our client based in Hayes is looking for a Warehouse Operative with Freight Forwarding experience.

£28K-£30K with shift allowance.

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for ensuring that movement and handling of customers goods on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and dispatch cargo into and out of the warehouse ensuring it is handled correctly
Carry out warehouse duties within timeframes stated by company.
To ensure all documentation is completed as per requirements.
Complying with local legislative requirements & company Policies and procedures.
To comply with all aspects of Health & Safety.
Fork lift truck driving (counterbalance)
Load and unload containers
Pallet building
Dangerous goods checking
Sorting shipments to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently
Report any damages or non-compliance to supervisor or manager to be investigated
Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience of working in a busy modern warehouse
FLT Counter balance / reach truck licence
ADR / Hazardous awareness
Good timekeeping and organisational skills
Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
Reliability and Dependability
Self-motivated and is also a key member of the Team
Good Interpersonal skills
Able to prioritise and perform under pressure
High level of attention to detail
VNA, Counterbalance and Reach forklift licenses would be beneficial although training can be provided
