We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager to join a growing technology services business, taking ownership of a portfolio of existing client accounts and identifying opportunities to expand those relationships.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining account management with commercial sales, building strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and closing new opportunities within those accounts.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing clients across a range of industries. Rather than focusing purely on new-logo business development, your focus will be on understanding your customers, identifying new requirements and expanding the services delivered into each account.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing relationships across existing client accounts
  • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities within those customers
  • Building relationships with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Understanding client challenges and positioning relevant technology/services solutions
  • Developing account plans and identifying areas for growth
  • Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle
  • Working closely with internal delivery and technical teams
  • Maintaining a strong pipeline and providing accurate sales forecasting

What We're Looking For:

  • 3-5 years' experience in B2B sales, account management or technology services sales
  • Previous experience selling software or IT services would be highly beneficial
  • Experience within software testing, QA or quality engineering services would be particularly relevant, but is not essential
  • A proven ability to grow and develop existing customer accounts
  • Comfortable identifying and creating opportunities rather than simply servicing existing relationships
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded with a proactive, consultative approach to sales

There is no requirement for experience within a particular industry vertical, as the client portfolio covers a broad range of sectors. This would suit an Account Manager who enjoys owning customer relationships but still has the commercial drive and 'hunter' mentality to uncover new opportunities and grow revenue within their accounts.
