We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Sales Professional to join a well-established, growing manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with both domestic and commercial clients, managing projects from initial enquiry through to survey, quotation and completion. The Role

This is much more than a traditional sales position. You'll combine consultative sales, technical surveying, account management and business development, working with homeowners as well as commercial customers including contractors, developers, schools, healthcare providers and facilities managers. You'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while helping to grow both the domestic and commercial sides of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic Sales
    • Attend pre-arranged appointments with homeowners.
    • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
    • Carry out accurate surveys and measurements.
    • Prepare quotations and secure orders.
    • Manage the customer journey from enquiry through to completion.
    • Deliver excellent after-sales support where required.
  • Commercial Sales
    • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities.
    • Build relationships with contractors, developers, architects and facilities management teams.
    • Prepare commercial quotations and assist with tender submissions.
    • Read plans, specifications and schedules where required.
    • Conduct commercial site surveys.
    • Work closely with production and installation teams to deliver successful projects.
    • Develop long-term commercial accounts and repeat business.
  • Business Development
    • Generate new business through networking, referrals and prospecting.
    • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
    • Follow up quotations and maximise conversion opportunities.
    • Manage an organised sales pipeline using CRM systems.
    • Represent the business professionally at networking and promotional events.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers make informed decisions and thrives on building lasting relationships. You'll ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, CRM systems and tablet technology.
  • A willingness to learn technical product knowledge.
  • The ability to carry out accurate measurements and surveys.
  • A full UK driving licence.
