We are seeking a dedicated and versatile experienced FLT driver with warehouse experience to join a leading and well-established flexible packaging company in Normanton. This role operates on a three-week rotating shift schedule, a three-week rotating shift system. 12-hour shift pattern, Days & Nights, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
- Week One - 3 Days
- Week Two - 3 Nights
- Week Three - 2 days & 2 Nights
Main purpose: To ensure manufacturing is supplied with all items of Raw material or W.I.P. in time and to the correct location or machine and to move materials around the site as required.
Main Duties:
- Supply each manufacturing machine with the necessary materials as listed on the production plan or as instructed.
- Remove all packaging before supplying to relevant machines.
- Move material around the site as required.
- Wrap all finished pallets as per packing specifications.
- Remove all waste from within the factory and place it in the allocated area.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles if required.
- Assist other departments in times of high workloads.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good standard education (minimum 3 x GCSEs, Maths & English, or equivalent).
- In-date FLT Counterbalance Licence.
- In-date Reach truck licence – preferred but not essential.
- Be well organised and able to plan.
- Good attention to detail.
- Team player with an enthusiastic approach.
- Willing and flexible.
- Good understanding of health & Safety, environment and quality.
