Junior Journalist - Fluent In German

Our global client requires an experienced Junior Journalist – fluent in German to join their team for 10 months.

The ideal candidate will create and write various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions.

You should have strong communication skills that enable you to explain complicated concepts simply. You will also frequently meet with customer representatives to understand the required content.

Typical Day in the Role:

1. Creating editorial content for ‘About Our Client’ DE, which aims to be the first and most trusted source of information and news ‘About Our Client’ for external audiences.
2. Writing and producing a mix of news, evergreen content, and original features about the company across a wide range of topics.
3. Working closely with stakeholders in the DE communication teams to frame and optimize stories.
4. Working as part of the wider global OCC team, including attending team meetings & training.

Candidate Requirements

Whom our client is looking for:

1. Journalist with experience working with data-driven digital content.
2. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, digital media, or a related field preferred.
3. Strong news judgment and excellent German writing skills.
4. Strong communicator in English and German who enjoys working in a fast-paced start-up culture.
5. Understanding of how to use SEO to guide editorial content strategy.
6. Experience working with CMS tools to produce digital content.
7. Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
8. Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit—enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in the technology industry.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to understand highly technical information.

Duration: 10 Months – May be extended.

40 Hours per week.

Daily rate: £261.54 per day.

Hybrid working: 3 days in office.
