Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant Temporary role: 5 months Pay rate: £20.000 – £28.00 per hour Location: Fully Office based in Slough We are working with a well-established organisation based in Slough who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a temporary contract for 5 months to support the wider finance function and play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close and audit preparation. This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant who enjoys working across core financial accounting as well as supporting FP&A reporting. Key Responsibilities Support the month-end close process, producing timely and accurate management accounts Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, working capital and cashflow reports Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory filings Support the external audit process, including preparing schedules and responding to audit queries Work across the wider finance function, supporting General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and FP&A reporting Ensure strong financial controls and continuous improvement of reporting processes About You Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role covering financial accounting / FP&A exposure Proven experience of month-end close processes Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards Advanced Excel skills Experience using ERP and reporting tools such as Dynamics 365, OneStream, Power BI, SQL or similar is highly desirable Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative finance team Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
