Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our growing team as a Driver/Fine Art Handler at our Bilston facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the proper handling, packing, and transportation of fine art and furniture.
Responsibilities:
- Proper handling and packing of various types of fine art and furniture
- Installation/De-Installation of various fine art and furniture
- Picking up and delivering artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and high-value furniture
- Driving a truck locally and long-distance between cities and around Europe
- Inspecting artworks to determine packing requirements
- Efficient handling of paperwork, including bills of lading, labelling, time-sheets, and condition reports
- Communicating with the operations team throughout the day
Qualifications:
- Physical fitness and ability to work comfortably on ladders, scaffolding, and/or mechanised lifts
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Class 2 HGV licence (training provided for the right candidate)
- Willingness to work around Europe
- Willingness to spend nights away for longer trips
- Knowledge/experience handling high-end goods is advantageous
