You will play a key role in enabling the successful installation, commissioning, and operation of networked security platforms across live commercial and construction sites, supporting CCTV, access control, intercom and integrated systems.

The Role

You will work closely with installation, commissioning and service engineers to ensure systems are correctly configured, integrated and ready for handover. This role does not carry physical installation responsibility or service escalation ownership, but is critical to system stability, performance and integration. As the business and system complexity grows, there is real scope for this role to develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and support IP networks for fire and security systems across live sites
  • Support integration of CCTV, access control, intercom, and intruder systems into client networks
  • Assist engineers with network setup, testing, and system readiness
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues (IP conflicts, VLANs, PoE, connectivity faults)
  • Support switches, basic firewall configuration, and wireless access points
  • Assist with system configuration, firmware updates, and platform setup
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and network records
  • Liaise with manufacturers, vendors, and client IT teams
  • Work safely and compliantly on live commercial and construction sites

Technical Environment

  • IP-based fire and security systems
  • CCTV, access control, and integrated platforms
  • Networking: IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, switching
  • Security platforms such as Gallagher, Avigilon, Hikvision, Milestone (or similar)
  • Live commercial and construction environments
  • Support through installation, commissioning, testing, and handover

Why Join?

  • Permanent role in a growing, specialist fire and security business
  • Hands-on technical ownership and real-world impact
  • Exposure to large-scale commercial and construction projects
  • Opportunity to grow with the role as systems and integration complexity increases
