Full-time veterinary receptionist job vacancy – Based between our Dundee, Barnhill, and Arbroath vet practices.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time veterinary receptionist.
Our receptionists provide a front of house service to all veterinary clients visiting the practice.
Primarily you will be responsible for greeting patients and their owners when they arrive and making them feel relaxed and welcome. Other duties include answering telephone calls, processing payments accurately, scheduling appointments and selling items that may be available behind the counter. Some administrative tasks to assist with the day to day running of the practice may also be included.
Personal qualities should include a natural communicator and confident engager and be able to understand the needs of humans and animals alike. You must be able to remain calm with clients that may become upset or angered and be empathetic towards situations that will be difficult for pet owners.
Veterinary practices are busy environments that require effective staff to run efficiently, therefore you should have a methodical working style and be able to prioritise tasks at busy periods.
A driving licence is necessary to enable you to work at any of our three branches and you may be required to work flexibly across all.
Role details:
- Full-time position – 39 hrs per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Saturday on a rotational basis.
- Based from our three branches: Dundee, Barnhill and Arbroath.
- Must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
