Reporting to: Deputy Manager

About the Role

This is an exciting and busy role to lead and inspire the housekeeping team at the home. The successful individual will ensure that cleaning standards are maintained to the highest level throughout the home. You will organise daily duties, laundry schedules and team rotas, lead on all matters relating to Infection Control and COSHH and ensure cleaning supplies are ordered and well managed at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting the housekeeping team
  • Planning rotas and organising daily cleaning schedules
  • Maintaining high standards across all rooms and communal areas
  • Overseeing laundry to ensure residents' clothing is well cared for
  • Ensuring infection control, COSHH and safety standards are followed
  • Working closely with care, catering and maintenance teams
  • Supporting residents with kindness and responding to requests

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have housekeeping or cleaning experience (care setting desirable)
  • NVQ or Diploma in management
  • Have some experience leading or supervising others
  • Are caring, reliable and approachable
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and taking initiative
  • Are physically able to work across a busy, multi-floor home

Knowledge of Infection Control, COSHH and Manual Handling is helpful. A management qualification is a bonus, but not essential.
