My client, a leader within the FMCG industry, is looking for a website and Marketing executive to lead the day-to-day running of their website and database/CRM systems using both existing and new technology. You will build new pages and features that maximise the capabilities of the platform as well as identifying and implementing innovative new ideas in line with the business strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage web agency support for new, highly technical deployment and updates including the rollout of a CRM/Database system.
- Liaise with marketing colleagues to ensure optimal use across the trading area.
- Develop customer journeys from scratch and enhance customer engagement.
- Grow databases through lead generation, ensure data integrity, and manage CRM/database health (spam complaints, bounces, etc.).
- Develop and execute an online E-commerce store to grow online sales of clothing, merchandise, and accessories while maintaining the tone and brand of the business.
- Work closely with the marketing team to plan, develop, and execute engaging digital marketing campaigns, including automated workflows and ad hoc emails – monitoring and optimising email performance.
- Manage agencies to deliver successful paid search, social, and additional campaigns that maximise ROI.
- Input into Dealer communications strategy plus ongoing management once established.
- Update engaging content and visuals, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Monitor industry/competitor digital activities to propose opportunities and enhancements.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years’ experience working in a digital marketing role, with PPC, SEO, CRM, email, and website management experience.
- Knowledge of SEO objectives and website optimisation and evaluation techniques.
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of Google Analytics and/or website analytic tools.
- Creative, but pragmatic thinker – able to recommend and implement practical solutions.
- A hands-on approach, can spot opportunities for improvement and implement new ideas.
- Proven experience in writing accurate briefs - establishing a good working relationship with external agencies.
- A confident communicator and able to turn visions into reality.
- The ability to interrogate ideas and concepts to achieve the desired project objectives.
- A good technical understanding and adept in discussing digital topics.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Excellent administration and presentation preparation skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Google Analytics (or web analytics tool) to monitor website/campaign specific traffic and provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Using SemRush and Screaming Frog (or similar tools) to help optimise the website for better organic search traffic and to resolve on-site issues.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our CMS in order to implement and maximise the impact of our digital strategy.
- Utilisation of the most appropriate tools and techniques, based on a detailed understanding of the developing role of digital marketing to ensure campaigns and initiatives are effective against each objective.
