An established and expanding Fire & Security company is looking to recruit an experienced Security Service Engineer to join a busy and technically demanding operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who wants long-term career progression within a growing business working across a varied customer base.

The Role

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and installation of electronic security systems at customer premises, including:

  • Intruder Alarms
  • IP CCTV Systems
  • Access Control
  • Door Entry Systems

You’ll also be required to complete all relevant paperwork in line with British Standards, NSI requirements, and Fire & Security industry documentation.

Technical Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Fire & Security industry
  • Strong knowledge of networked security systems
  • Confident with IP networking, including port forwarding, IP conflicts, and remote connections
  • Experience with monitored intruder alarm systems and IP CCTV
  • Familiarity with systems such as:
  • Intruder: Texecom, Galaxy, Pyronix, AJAX, Eaton
  • CCTV: Hikvision (IP/TVI), Hanwha, AXIS, Pelco
  • Access Control: Paxton Net2/10, ACT, Salto
  • Door Entry: Paxton, BPT, Fermax, Videx
  • Monitoring: RedCARE, DualCom, ARC
  • NSI awareness essential
  • Coverage Areas

    Work across the South and East of England, including:

    • Bedfordshire
    • Buckinghamshire
    • Cambridgeshire
    • Hertfordshire
    • Northamptonshire
    • London and surrounding counties

    Preferred locations: Beds, Bucks, Cambs, Herts, North London.

    Salary & Package

    • Salary from £35,000+ DOE
    • OTE up to £45,000
    • Paid overtime and travel time
    • On-call rota (1 week in 5) with enhanced rates
    • Company vehicle, PPE, uniform, tools, phone, and laptop
    • Company credit card for expenses
    • Pension scheme
    • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

    Additional Information

    Role includes participation in an emergency on-call rota. Enhanced DBS required.
