We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to provide trusted, practical and confident ER support across our business. Acting as the first point of contact for General Managers, Territory Managers and People Business Partners, you’ll play a key role in promoting fair, consistent and commercially sound employee relations practices while minimising risk.

This is a hands-on role, working closely with operational leaders and the wider People Team to manage ER cases effectively, coach managers and help build confidence and capability across the business. The role is fully remote with a team meeting in person once per month.

  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability cases.
  • Ensure ER cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
  • Coach and support line managers to manage ER matters confidently and reach positive, sustainable outcomes.
  • Build strong working relationships with People Business Partners, Territory Managers, General Managers and the wider People Team.
  • Manage ER enquiries through the ER inbox, escalating complex or high-risk cases appropriately.
  • Own end-to-end case management, ensuring accurate and timely updates on ServiceNow and other people systems.
  • Monitor ER trends and produce case reporting to support insight-led decision making.
  • Support long-term sickness and capability cases, maintaining accurate records across people systems.
  • Assist with ER projects, policy updates and the delivery of ER training where required.
  • Liaise with external partners such as legal advisors, ACAS and occupational health providers when needed.
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and make recommendations to improve policy and process.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.
  • Proven experience advising and coaching managers on ER issues, including complex cases.
  • Strong judgement with the ability to balance risk, fairness and commercial impact.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple cases.
  • A collaborative, “one team” mindset and a commitment to confidentiality and consistency.
  • Knowledge of ROI or Jersey employment law is desirable but not essential.
