An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a leading science and technology company operating across healthcare, life science and electronics. We are recruiting for a Key Account Manager within Neurology, the role is an amazing opportunity to be part of a committed, passionate and high performing team and to work for a well recognised brand within Neurology specialising with MS.
As the Key Account Manager, you will be an ambassador for the company delivering excellent customer service and innovation, ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Building long-term relationships with customers within the Northwest and Northern Ireland to maximise opportunities to ensure each account reaches its growth potential.
This role will enable you to use your skills to support the company's key account strategy in your own accounts to drive sales whilst ensuring our reputation for clinical excellence and reliability. Duties of the role include:
- Developing and growing the sales of the portfolio.
- Accountable to ensure that our market share is maximised for all promoted products within new and existing accounts.
- Develop individual plans and strategies for each of the key account customers and/or accounts, utilising both provided and locally obtained market insights to inform the cross functional plan.
- Central to the account planning process and will identify our cross functional team actions within the account plan and hold the team accountable to deliver on their committed actions.
- Partner with and pull resources from the market access, marketing and medical teams to support territory activities and to provide the accounts with expert support as needed.
- Build and strengthen professional, value adding relationships with the identified key account customers and identify partnership opportunities.
- Fulfil customer requests for information and/or expertise by co-ordinating with the appropriate resources within the team.
- Analyse and track performance versus target. Review performance versus potential in key accounts monthly and feedback to Sales Manager.
- Develop and apply an understanding of customer organisations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions.
- Developing and executing effective cross functional account plans aimed towards maximising territory sales.
- Identifying, segmenting, profiling and defining key accounts.
- Build intimate knowledge of our accounts and customers, in doing so understand the individual beliefs, needs, priorities, processes, drivers and barriers.
- Utilise both provided and locally obtained market insights to inform the cross functional plan.
Requirements:
- Degree educated (ideally life sciences or business).
- Proven track record of success in secondary care or specialist pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong strategic thinking and account management capability.
- Demonstrated ability to influence complex stakeholder networks and decision-making processes.
- Confident in communicating complex scientific concepts in a clear, impactful way.
- Experience working cross-functionally and leading without authority.
- Highly self-motivated, resilient, and driven, with a strong patient-first mindset.
- Knowledge of industry compliance frameworks (e.g. ABPI/IPHA).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
