We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical or engineering background, looking to take ownership of complex New Product Introduction (NPI) projects within an innovative manufacturing environment.
Our client is a market-leading engineering organisation that designs and delivers innovative safety technology solutions for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Project Manager to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through to production.
The Role
As Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing NPI projects, developing project management processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end engineering and NPI projects
- Developing and maintaining project plans, documentation and reporting
- Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders
- Supporting product development, lifecycle management and process improvements
- Managing project risks, changes, timelines and delivery challenges
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Driving improvements in project delivery methodologies
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in a technical, engineering or manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing engineering projects or NPI programmes
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong understanding of product development and lifecycle management
- Experience working with OEM or Tier 1 customers
- Formal project management training (PRINCE2, APM or similar)
- Technical qualification (HNC/HND, engineering/science discipline or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills
