Forklift Trackside Operative - Air Pallet Builder in Luton

Our client based in Luton is looking for a Forklift Trackside Operative – Air Pallet Builder.

The client seeks someone with experience in airfreight cargo pallet building and who can operate a forklift.

In this role you will be required to travel for the majority of 228 days a year unless support is needed in the Luton warehouse. Travel will be European and International.

Job Purpose

Main tasks at European events:

• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Manual handling of equipment.
• High competence using a forklift.
• Work as part of a small team on various contracts, as required.
• Maintain admin and paperwork for both vehicle and deliveries.
• Face‑to‑face relationship with customers while on site at events.

Main tasks International events

• Loading and unloading of airfreight and sea freight containers.
• Experienced in airport pallet building, assembling and disassembling ULDs with loose cargo.
• Manual handling of equipment.
• High competence; work as part of a small team on various contracts, as required.
• Checking dimensions and weight of freight.
• Face‑to‑face relationship with customers while on site at events.

Skills, Experience & Educational Qualifications required

• Availability to travel to European and International events, including solo travel on certain occasions, which may entail extended periods away.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and overtime (night shifts on occasions that require).
• Interest and passion for event logistics with multimodal transport solutions (air, sea and road).
• Open‑mindedness.
• Problem‑solving attitude.
• Customer‑care oriented.
• Team‑working ability for small teams.
• Previous experience in cargo pallet building.
• IATA DG Training – Preferred.

LOCATION: Official work location Luton, however multiple locations dependent on event calendar.
