We’re recruiting for a Global Data Privacy Manager to join a well-established international Legal team. This is a hands-on, in-house role suited to a qualified lawyer who wants ownership, pace, and real exposure across global markets. This position is best suited to candidates with in-house or private company experience. The role goes well beyond advisory work and requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and embedding data privacy across the business.
The Role
- Lead and support global data privacy governance across the UK, EU, US, Canada, Mexico and APAC
- Advise on data privacy matters, data sharing initiatives and regulatory developments
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts containing data privacy clauses
- Manage DPAs, data transfer agreements, PIAs, data subject requests and data breaches
- Maintain data privacy policies, procedures and training
- Work closely with global stakeholders and senior leadership
About You
- Qualified lawyer with a strong focus or proven track record in Data Privacy
- In-house / private company experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable working at pace
- Confident handling negotiations and commercial contracts
- Newly qualified lawyers will be considered if they have the right attitude and a solid data privacy foundation
Salary & Benefits
- £80,000 basic salary
- 10% performance bonus
- 25 days holiday (rising to 30)
