Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 / B2) – Avionics / IFE

Heathrow Airport

4 on / 4 off – 12 hour shifts

We are currently supporting a global leader in In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems in their search for Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B1 or B2) to join their engineering team based at Heathrow Airport.

This is an opportunity to work with the technology that powers movies, Wi-Fi, gaming and onboard connectivity across major international airlines, supporting the maintenance and performance of advanced aircraft entertainment systems.

The Role

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems installed on commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing line maintenance and preventative maintenance on IFE systems
  • Conducting system testing and diagnostics using built-in and manual testing procedures
  • Troubleshooting and replacing faulty electronic components and LRUs
  • Supporting airlines with technical fault resolution and documentation
  • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with UK CAA regulations and safety standards

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • EASA / UK CAA B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
  • Type rating on one or more of the following aircraft:
  • A320 | A330 | A350 | A380 | B767 | B777 | B787
  • Experience in commercial aviation maintenance or avionics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical or avionics systems
  • Ability to work shift patterns and airside environments

Package

Salary: £40,000 – £63,000 (dependent on type ratings)

  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12 hour shifts)
