Our international client requires an experienced Financial Accountant - EMEA who is fluent in Spanish/English for 12 Months.
The Role
This position is responsible for producing Management accounts and assisting the business in implementing efficient and diligent financial practices.
Responsibilities
- Monthly Management accounts (including US & local GAAP reporting, SOX compliance), Annual Financial Statements.
- Manage local audits and be accountable to the US with their external audits.
- Operational controlling, planning, and analysis for our business in-country, with a strong focus on business development, but also cost and budget control to ensure high profitability.
- Support stakeholders across the functions, production of budgets and forecasts.
- Data evaluation, analysis, and giving context of monthly and quarterly reporting (including incentives calculations).
- Business partnering within functional and brand teams.
- Interface between operational units, functions, and the International Finance Departments in EMEA and the US.
- Improve processes for optimization and efficiency in both finance and controlling.
- Local contact for third-party accountants, auditors, and tax consultants, banks, leasing partners, authorities, and insurance companies.
- Participate in the expansion and optimization of existing controlling instruments.
- Aid in the implementation of multiple books in the new ERP system.
- Project works, ad hoc tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to know
Experience/Skills/Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to define new standardized processes.
- Hands-on mentality and work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Accurate, structured, independent, and self-reliant way of working.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high commitment, manage resources, and effectively meet critical deadlines; natural curiosity for problem-solving.
- Advanced knowledge in MS-Office, Planning, and Reporting software tools.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Beauty or aesthetics industry experience.
