Purchasing & Contracts Manager to lead purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and contract management across the business.

This role will ensure value for money, effective supplier management, contractual compliance, and consistent purchasing processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional who enjoys managing suppliers, improving processes, and delivering value across a business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities, supplier negotiations, and contract arrangements across the organisation.
  • Lead the management of property leases, service agreements, and related contracts, working with landlords, agents, and legal stakeholders where required.
  • Manage company vehicle arrangements, including leasing providers, insurance, vehicle changes, accident management, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee driving-for-work processes, ensuring policies, licence checks, vehicle checks, and reporting requirements are maintained.
  • Manage key purchasing categories such as utilities, workwear, stationery, office supplies, and other business services.
  • Monitor supplier performance, costs, and contractual obligations to drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Act as the main user and support contact for purchasing systems, ensuring processes are followed and continuously improved.
  • Manage and support a Purchasing Administrator, providing guidance, prioritisation, and development.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in purchasing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and commercial decision-making.
  • Experience managing suppliers and contracts across multiple categories.
  • Knowledge of fleet management and company vehicle compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to improving processes and controlling costs.
  • Experience using purchasing systems and supporting process compliance.
