My client is looking for a proactive and commercially minded IT Manager who can act as the central point for IT and telecoms issues, build strong internal and external relationships, and ensure their systems remain secure, stable, and fit for purpose. You will work closely with the IT Director on strategic initiatives while supporting the team's day to day performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for IT and telecoms issues, liaising across the business and with external providers.
  • Monitor helpdesk performance, analyse trends, and implement improvements.
  • Oversee the external IT support provider and proactively prevent recurring issues.
  • Support and guide the IT team in delivering high-quality service.
  • Manage the annual Cyber Essentials Plus renewal and coordinate Group-wide IT audits.
  • Assist the IT Director with strategic initiatives and large-scale IT projects.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources for key IT projects.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and develop solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor IT infrastructure performance and ensure systems run efficiently.
  • Recruit for departmental vacancies and promote a positive, high morale working environment.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required by the line manager.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of MPLS networks.
  • Experience with Extreme Switching and Access Points.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible and able to adapt plans at short notice.
  • Confident in liaising with external suppliers and driving issues to resolution.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
