Our international client requires an experienced Senior HR Consultant—Change Management and Projects—to work within the HR department and support the successful execution and adoption of ongoing HR projects. This role involves overseeing HR transformation initiatives, driving change management strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will work closely with HR leadership, employees, and other stakeholders to implement and manage projects effectively.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Mainly work on projects: The biggest project is the change management, OD, structure changes. You will be the project lead for any restructure or change management activities globally, meaning you must have strong HRBP experience in the UK as you will also manage the person responsible for total rewards and payroll and systems, and the person responsible for the HR governance and policies.
- This role requires strong expertise in UK employment law and HR best practices to ensure compliance and smooth execution of change programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and support HR projects related to mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relation matters (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, consultation processes, and redundancy).
- Partner with key stakeholders across HR and the business to ensure smooth delivery of change programs that impact compensation, roles, structures, and employee experience.
- Apply a generalist lens across projects touching talent, performance, onboarding/offboarding, and policy development if required.
- Identify ER risks and legal considerations, ensuring compliance with UK or European employment law throughout change processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor during periods of transformation, providing clarity and practical solutions to complex challenges.
- Design and implement communication and engagement plans to support organizational change.
- Collaborate with HRBPs to align local needs with global initiatives where applicable.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in HR project roles with a focus on change, transformation, and business restructuring.
- Deep knowledge of UK employee relations and employment law (European experience is a plus), with hands-on experience managing complex cases and consultations.
- Demonstrated experience in HR support during M&A and post-merger integration.
- Familiarity with compensation change projects (e.g., harmonization, retention schemes).
- Strong generalist foundation with exposure to the full HR lifecycle.
- Highly resilient and adaptable; able to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Experience in global or matrixed organizations.
- Background in sectors with significant change activity (e.g., pharma, tech, manufacturing).
