Salary: Β£40,000–£45,000 base (negotiable based on experience)

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week; 4 days in office, 1 day WFH)

Parkside Recruitment are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer for a research client situated in Alperton. This role involves the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical systems and firmware across new and existing SMS products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and test electronic circuits (analog/digital/mixed signal)
  • Create PCB layouts and wiring diagrams
  • Build and test prototypes, fixing problems as needed
  • Work with software teams on firmware for microcontrollers (e.g. STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation
  • Help ensure compliance with industry standards and safety rules (like EMC & RoHS)
  • Contribute to product innovation with the R&D team

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–5 years of experience in electronics development
  • Experience designing and testing circuit boards (including power, sensing, and signal systems)
  • Comfortable with tools like oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and PCB design software (e.g. Proteus)
  • Knowledge of embedded C/C++, Python, or similar languages
  • Good communication skills – able to explain ideas clearly
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
