Ref: 1259748Job Title: CNC MachinistLocation: Ruislip, MiddlesexSalary: £15.00 – £18.00 per hourJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent and Temporary Available Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:48)Holidays: 25 days annual leave (January–December) + 8 Bank HolidaysStart Date: ASAPCompany OverviewParkside Recruitment are looking for a CNC Machinist to our clients team in Ruislip. Role OverviewAs a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision-engineered components. You will ensure all parts are manufactured to engineering specifications, quality standards, and within defined timescales.Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Mazak experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments for accuracy and quality
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes and production efficiency
  • Adhere to production schedules and meet delivery deadlines

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a CNC machining or similar precision engineering role (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques
  • Competency in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools
  • Familiarity with tooling setup and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Mazatrol or other CNC programming languages is desirable
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 15:48
  • 39 hours per week
  • Includes a half-hour lunch break and two 15-minute tea breaks (morning and afternoon)
